What the heck do I DO all day?

This has to be one of the most things I hear most often when I talk about my business. And honestly? The question ALWAYS makes me laugh.
The short answer? It depends on the day. It also depends on the flow of my work seasons, where I'm throwing my focus that day, my mood and the weather.
But in an effort to bring some clarity to my admittedly nebulous and hyper flexible work schedules, I present to you... a brief overview of my week.
Full disclosure: I'm publishing this on Tuesday, but the week we're describing is from a week or two ago- so yes, things have shifted (just a little!) since then. My days are starting earlier (my alarm goes off at 4:30 right now) mostly so I can get more done and go to bed early, when I'm kind of useless.
Monday: I work at Kings Island from 8-5. I've been gone for a week, so I have some catching up to do, but I look at emails, do some purchasing, some purchase requesting, sort through some scheduling issues, and make a solid to do list for the week. I spend some time getting information from last week, and have a couple of conversations with my team and a few others about how things are going. We're trying to get Haunt up and running, and have a long couple of weeks in front of us.
I get home about 6:15, change, and take off for Femme Fatale Fitness, where I have a class. When I get home at 8:25, I've gotten a phone call asking me to substitute teach on Tuesday. I'm looking for dinner, but after not finding anything, I drag myself over to the grocery store and pick up some easy healthy meals. I contact my supervisor at Kings Island, and make arrangements to be gone from the park the following day. I work for a while on the bachelorette party I'm organizing before going to bed about 11.
Tuesday: I get to CJ a little after 8:00. I'm in for the gym teacher today, but luckily, the kids have study halls- so I don't have to run laps with them. I spend pretty much all day getting details for the party ironed out, but I'm feeling pretty good now with where that stands. My pastor asks for a meeting and we arrange to meet at 5:00. I come home from school about 3:30, and work for another hour on social media batching and scheduling. At 4:30, I grab a change of clothes and head back downtown for a meeting with my pastor. I leave church at 6:30 and head back to Femme for my Tuesday night class (it's PiYo tonight!). I get home about 8:30, and sit down with some dinner. I send a couple of emails, and I'm working on more social batching. I have to emergency renew my website- I'm sure my web person told me it was going to go down, but to be honest, I have no memory of that. I head to bed about 10:30.
Wednesday: I'm back at Kings Island today, and in order for it to be a hyper productive day, I make a really strong list first thing, pull up random.org and get cracking. Today I need to approve pay roll, make a schedule for next week, do a bunch of purchasing and requesting, and get some questions answered. I've got a contractor coming in to drop off her project and pick up another one, and I need to have a few conversations with other department heads to make sure we are all on the same page.
I leave the park at about 3:30, come home, change, let the dog out, and head to a 5:30 meeting at my church. That meeting releases about 7:15, I drive to Femme, change again, gulp pre workout, and hit my Lyra class hard. When I get home about 9:30, I spend about an hour on my calendar before interacting on my social pages for about 30 minutes, putting me in bed at 11.
Thursday:
I'm off from the park today, but I have a training at 10:30 over at the medical school for my simulated patient work. I decide to head in early and get about an hours worth of research work done on church projects before I have to meet with my coordinator at the med school. My case for next week is a pregnant, poor, young woman. It's one I've done before, and I'm really pleased the school puts so much value on this kind of work. When I finish with my training, I take about 45 minutes and pop my head in over at the theatre building to say hello to my mentor in the costume shop. When I'm done catching up with her, I grab a quiet corner on campus and spend about 90 minutes prepping myself for fall play auditions (Midsummer Nights Dream), which are next week. By the end of those 90 minutes, I can pass things off to my research assistant and let her start getting the ball rolling on time period research for me.
I go back over to church to meet with the church administrator for a while as she gets me up to speed on a few things. That takes about an hour, and then I come home to get my September daily planner pages in line. (I tend to fill out my months in advance and then fill my weeks in one at a time- but I'm trying to fill in all of September at once so it's done ahead of time. This includes to do list items as much as possible, as well as check points for major projects.) I have my silks class at Femme tonight, so I finish up working about 6:15, change, and head over there. I'm home about 8:30, and I spend about an hour on some craft projects for the party I'm planning before heading to bed about 10:30.
Friday: Back at Kings Island today, and it's my longest day. I'll be here until 6:00 or so today. I knock out as many project as possible before lunch, and then work through some "field trip" errands- a trip to JoAnn and my dance supply store to pick up tights and trunks. At about 4:30, I pop over to Haunt actor auditions and see how those are going, and check in with the team working them to make sure everything is going ok. On the way home I make a voice recording of myself as I spitball some ideas for future business projects that I don't want to forget. I spend about an hour once I get home on research for future business projects, take my dog for a run, and settle in for about 90 minutes of crafting. In bed by about 10:30.
Saturday: I'm back at Kings Island, but only for the morning, and mostly to help with auditions for Winterfest. While I'm waiting on people to measure, I review my calendars and to do lists. I make sure to approve pay roll while I'm at work, and I leave the park about 2:30.
Once I'm home, I spend about 90 minutes cleaning my house, running laundry and dishes, etc, before settling in for the final round of party crafts in front of Netflix. I go to bed about midnight.
Sunday: I'm up in time to run before church, and I get in about 9:30. It's a pretty light service today, but the musicians are new, and so I get them settled in and through a brief rehearsal before the service starts. Once they are started I can spend a little time on whatever of my to do list items has been feeling neglected. I sit and enjoy the church service, and go directly to America's Packard Museum, which I am running today. Sundays are usually fairly quiet at the museum, and it is often a great time to make to do lists for the next week. My best friend is with me usually, and it's a good chance for us to catch up in between guests- and it makes the time go quickly.
Once I get home from the museum, I usually take a short nap, and then I try to hold Sunday evenings sacred for time with a friend, or self care.
So there you have it! That's what my life looks like this week. Very little sewing time right now, and a lot of administration work, but sometimes that's how it goes- a couple more weeks and I'll be chained to the sewing machine again. It's a cycle!
I hope that answered some of your questions about my life! I know saying "I'm working for an hour" isn't super specific, but I also don't want to give TOO many surprises away before I'm ready to launch them into the world!
Hop on over to Insta or Facebook and let me know what you think of all this!
Is it your speed? Can you keep up? Does it look different than you thought it would? I want to know- and I LOVE seeing your comments and reactions!
